  3.     Welcome to Version 4.0 of Log-EQF!  Here are a few notes to help you get
  4.     started.  When you're ready to read more about the program, print the 
  5.     User's Guide contained in disk file LOG-EQF.DOC.  It's about 55 pages
  6.     long, so make sure your printer has plenty of paper!
  7.  
  8. 1). Log-EQF now includes a compressed INSTALL utility, which extracts
  9.     everything needed to run the new program from the floppy, and installs
  10.     it on the disk or disk directory you specify.  For instance, if this
  11.     distribution disk is mounted in your "A:" drive, and you want to install
  12.     Log-EQF V4.0 in the EQFLOG directory of your "C:" drive, you would:
  13.  
  14.         a).     Log into your C: drive.  Create a new directory called 
  15.                 EQFLOG by typing "MD\EQFLOG".
  16.  
  17.         b).     Now that you have created a directory, type:
  18.                         
  19.                         A:
  20.                         INSTALL C:\EQFLOG
  21.  
  22.         c).     All of the files on the floppy will be expanded and 
  23.                 placed on the hard drive automatically!

  25. 2). If this is your first version of Log-EQF, ignore this note!  Log-EQF V4.0 
  26.     uses a different file format than earlier versions.   A special routine, 
  27.     called CONVERT2, will be installed, so that you can convert your existing
  28.     Log-EQF logbooks into the new format.  Just type "CONVERT2" to get it
  29.     going, then supply the name of an existing (Version 3.x) Log-EQF logbook.
  30.     You will have to specify a new logbook name, which will be created by the
  31.     CONVERT2 program.

  33. 3). Rig-EQF, a program for expanded computer control over your Kenwood radio,
  34.     is included on the disk.  This program has been included for you to "test
  35.     drive".  Please note that Rig-EQF is a separate product from Log-EQF. You
  36.     may become a registered user of Rig-EQF without support for Log-EQF for
  37.     just $10.

  47. Log-EQF is shareware.  If you are not already a REGISTERED USER, please send
  48. $25 (U.S.) to the author.  You will receive the latest version of Log-EQF,
  49. utility programs for DXCC record keeping and file import/export, and you will 
  50. be notified automatically anytime future updates are made to the program.
